RPS member. Thanks Tony. I am just on the verge of shooting raw and need all the tips I can. Have had a Sony A550 four months and am enjoying it. Can't afford any Zeiss glass but have Sony 50mm 1.8, Tamron SP90 and Sony 18-250, which I'm enjoying.
Is this fast picture viewer decode raw files too?Got any recommendations for a good RAW program that won't screw up my brain....Thanks for the newsletters. Always inspiring. I been useing C Cleaner for a couple of years now

I had the icon problem with RAW and JPGs. My Oz computer hotshot told me about a program called
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11738-thumbnails-previews-enable-disable-html.
It's for Windows7 I understand.
However, I am running Vista and I found this: go to control panel and use the classic view:
the path is:
control panel>system>advanced system settings>performance settings> visual effects. Then click on the little box that says "show thumbnails instead of icons".
All fixed - thumbnails of everything.

And there are no necessary defrag utilities for Mac? Funny, I used one often on my MacBook to keep it performing....perhaps Mac users are not used to high performance!
Have a wonderful week yourself!

You mean to say you can't do that on a windoze machine without doing that!
CCleanerupper, Disk putter back togetherer?? Mac operators carry on as usual, no need to be alarmed by these unusual phrases.
Have a great week.
